Girls Tennis:Ross vs Hampton Bays

The Ross Cosmos girl’s tennis team came out of the gates with great energy and competitive spirit. Though it was only Ross’s first game against Hampton Bays, Ross seemed to have already figure out the other team. This was shown through their dominant performance which seemed to start from the first ball served. The first Ross Cosmo to play, Carina Felden, defeated Anna Harris from Hampton Bays(2:0). Immediately after, Cristina Stilava managed to decisively beat Jackie Mujsce (2:1) . Jenna Kestan and Maya Teixiera also posted victories for the Ross Cosmos. After their wins in singles, the girls were also able to continue this trend in doubles. Caroline Breitweiser and Lilah Yektai won(2:0), while Kieran O’Brien and Kari Chen were able to do the same (2:0). The overall score of the match against Hampton Bays was ‘’6:1’’.

The girls worked well as a team and supported each other. Coach Snyder was also a key figure in this impressive win through his leadership. The Ross school is proud of all the girls’ accomplishments and we hope to see more games like this next year.
