Enrique Pichardo is 17 years old and a junior at Ross School. He plays a lot of sports, like Cross Country, Track and Field, and soccer outside of school with an adult league.

Pichardo has been playing soccer since he was very young and started running in the 9th grade. The most memorable moments that Pichardo had while playing sports were when he scored a goal in soccer for the first time and when he was young, beating his own record by three minutes in Cross Country. Pichardo’s goal for the season of 2017 was to push himself past his limit. In order to improve for the next season, Pichardo is looking forward to train for the next cross country season. In addition to that, Pichardo is not sure if he will end up playing sports in college. The challenges that his faced this season were keeping up with sleep as he would stay up doing homework and keeping his muscles from being sore (constant ice baths at home). According to Pichardo, his weakness is “giving up too much” and his strengths are “knowing that he can push himself past his limit and that he wants to join the military as a [member of the] United States Marine Corps”.
