Memorable Game: Ross vs Pierson—Final Game of the Season

It was the final game of the season, the whole school came to this game. People were talking about this game even outside of the school. The first game where Ross met Pierson took place at Pierson High School and Ross Cosmos was defeated. The score of the first game was ‘77 – 44’ and there was a crazy amount of people watching this game, including A lot of fans from Ross School.Though the first game wasn’t really successful for us, some players did pretty well in terms of scoring, like Ben Bijur and James Meng.

The second game between Ross and Pierson took place at Ross School. It was the final game of our season and it was also senior night for some of the players. Those seniors were Ben Bijur, Sam Zanchelli (who was injured for most of the season), Dennef Chiriboga, and Andy Zheng. Before the game, all the senior players were taking pictures with their parents and received trophy basketballs. Right after the ceremony, the real war began. It was a pretty close game until the 4th quarter, when Pierson completely took the lead. The final score of the game was almost the same as the first game between Ross and Pierson. All the players played their best and tried to win this game, however, Pierson High School was better that night. The final score was ‘44 – 73’. All the players did their best, especially Ben Bijur who scored 18 points. In addition to that, James Meng scored 17 points, which was very helpful in the beginning of the game.

Overall, the game was really interesting and for the first time this year we had a lot of people who were watching the game.We are very proud of our players and we hope to see more win next year.
