Coach Interview: Nygel Roach

Nygel Roach joined Ross School in (November?), 2017 as Head Basketball Coach. Originally, he is from New Jersey and he attended Saint John’s University, where he played 3 years. Nygel was a pretty successful player at Saint John’s University and earned the 2005-06 Aeropostale Scholar-Athlete of the Week Award. In addition to that, Nygel played for the Red Storm from 2003-2006. Nigel Roach majored in Finance and graduated in 2006. This year is his first year coaching at Ross and the reason why he decided to coach is because of his desire to help students to become better versions of themselves. According to Nygel, the most difficult part is to try get everybody to operate on the same page. Nygel’s plan for the next season is to get the players together and get them to play as hard as they can. The most important accomplishment for Coach Roach was inspiring players to excel on and off the court. Nygel Roach is planning to help the Cosmos win more games next season.
